Wayne Wooley

NATICK
- Wayne Carl Wooley, 66, died peacefully in the
comfort of his family on October 8, 2009 following a period of declining
health. He was born in Waltham on April 16, 1943 the son of the late Robert K.
and Florence E. (Taylor) Wooley.
Wayne
is survived by his brother, Brian K. Wooley and his
wife Judith F. Wooley of Natick. Uncle of Kristine W. Herold
of Glastonbury, CT, and Kenneth B. Wooley and his wife Deborah Wooley
of Derry, NH. Great
Uncle to Curtis B. and Taylor G. Herold of
Glastonbury, CT. Also survived by several cousins.
Wayne
spent his formative years in Natick and graduated from Natick High School with
the Class of 1961. He received his
Masters of Education in English and History from the University of MA in
Amherst. He had a long career as an English and History teacher at Natick High
School before retiring.
For
many years, he was the former owner of the Wolfeboro Inn and the Bittersweet
Restaurant both in Wolfeboro, NH. He
loved his career in the restaurant business as an owner, manager and chef and
the many people he met.
He
was associated with the Drama Workshop of Natick and served as a producer and
director for many of their productions.
He loved history and especially meeting people
from all walks of life.
Visitations
will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 at the John C. Bryant
Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road, (OFF ROUTE 30), Cochituate
Village, Wayland. A service will follow
visitations at 7:00 pm.
Interment
will be private for his family only.
