Robert Baker
Words
of remembrance by Fred Nelson:
I grew
up across the street from the Baker family. I knew Bob’s family, father Lloyd and
mother Sue. The Bakers lived across the street from the Nelsons. Bob was a boyhood
friend. His father worked at the Natick Five Cents savings bank. He drove
Indian motorcycles and liked big Buick automobiles. Bob's mother was a home
maker and was active in civic and church activities. For many years she was a
Cub Scout Den Mother. The late Heath Fisk was a member of that Cub Scout group.
After high school Bob went into the army and later obtained an accounting
degree from a local college. My memory is incomplete but he became a very
successful accountant, married a girl from the south and raised a family. He later
moved to Florida to be near his family. I am saddened to learn of Bob’s
passing.
