NATICK – Phyllis L. Byrnes, 49, of Lakeside Avenue was stricken ill and died early yesterday in her home.

 

She leaves her mother, Esther (Hedderig) Byrnes of Natick; two brothers, Alfred A. Byrnes III of Sterling Heights, MI, and Robert Byrnes of Hopkinton; three sisters, Marilyn Arsenault of Framingham, Susan Corby of Columbus, MI, and Carole Wladyka of Whitman; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Boston, daughter of Alfred A. Byrnes, and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Natick High School in 1961.

 

She was a secretary in a law firm.

 

Miss Byrnes was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Hopkinton and sang in its choir.

 

The funeral will be held Monday from Callanan Funeral Home, 34 Church Street, Hopkinton, with a Mass at 9 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church Street, Hopkinton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM tomorrow.
