Patricia Merry Chambers Winner Johnson
Patricia Johnson, 76, of Littleton Massachusetts, died at Emerson Hospital
on April 30th of complications of Covid-19. Due to her winsome charm, loving
personality, and clever wit, Patricia leaves behind leagues of mourners whose
lives have been made better by knowing her. She is survived by her beloved
husband of 29 years, Kris Johnson of Littleton, her children Matthew David
Winner and daughter-in-law Shannon Winner of Stockbridge Vermont, Lisa Michelle
Winner and son-in-law Steven Wulfekuhle of Shirley,
grandchildren Sage Winner, Sierra Wilds, Aleah Rose Winner, Finn Winner Wulfekuhle, and Amelia Winner Wulfekuhle.
Additionally, she is survived by stepfather and friend, Grandpa David Herrick
and Uncle Bob Herrick of Holliston, siblings Judith DeWitt of Holliston,
brother Chip and wife Kathy Chambers of Framingham, sisters Gail Lima of
Plymouth, and Susan Chambers of Olympia, WA, devoted family friend Carolyn
Pearce, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Patricia passionately loved her family, friends, and her many, many pets. Born
October 18, 1943 to Alice Barbara Nadolsky Chambers
and Stuart Herald Chambers of Natick, Patricia was a life-long learner. She
earned Masters degrees in Education from Framingham
State and Fitchburg State as well as a Masters in
Business from Lesley University. She taught in the Concord Public Schools,
co-owned and managed The Village Deli in West Acton, and later became an
accomplished senior tech writer for Digital Equipment Corporation. In
retirement, she was the "Associate" part of Johnson & Associates,
Tax and Financial Planning.
Confident, vivacious, curious, and friendly, there was nobody "Chatty
Patty" wouldn't talk with, always seeking to bring laughter and joy to all
who met her.
Children adored her and were drawn to her endless reserves of curiosity,
encouragement, patience, enthusiasm, silliness and love. Spontaneous,
surprising, personable, and clever, Pat found ways to engage the most
resistant, hurting children, always seeking to unlock hidden potential,
lightening the heaviest burdens for others. She was an unstoppable fighter with
enormous determination and strength of will; the definition of resilience, her
spirit will live on as the eternal Energizer Bunny.
Patricia's loved ones would like to express gratitude to the many folks who cared for her over the 9 long years that she fought against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy: Dr. Gary Stanton, Dr. Peter Musligner, the late Dr. Zeigler, Dr. Quinn, Jacqueline and Samuel Fernandes, Geralda Ramalho, Sue Cummings and the vast community of Lake Matawanakee angels in Littleton. We give special appreciation to Littleton's first responders as well as the many warriors on staff at Emerson Hospital's ER, ICU, and North 6. We are eternally thankful for your compassion, dedication, care and support.
Public services for Patricia will be held once the Covid-19 gathering restrictions have been lifted.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia's memory can be made to support the work research in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy in the Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
