NATICK
- James Edmund Fitzgerald, 57, formerly of Natick, died Friday, April 27, 2001,
at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland.
Born
and raised in Natick, Mr. Fitzgerald was a son of the late John and Margaret
(Gillis) Fitzgerald.
Prior
to his illness, he was employed by the Laborers International Union of North
America. Mr. Fitzgerald received his B.A.
degree in History from the former Boston State College and a master's degree in
Latin Literature from Boston College.
He
served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era, from 1963 to 1967.
He
leaves one brother, John J. Fitzgerald of Roslindale; three sisters, Martha
Fitzgerald of Salem, Teresa Fitzgerald of Carlisle and Mary Peques
of Zion, IL; and three nephews.
A
memorial service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 5, at 2
PM., at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, at Natick Common.
A
visitation period will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1 PM.
Private
burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Natick.
