Barbara Higgins

February 17, 1942 – July 31, 2005

Barbara Anne Higgins, "Nana", of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Sunday, July 31, 2005 in her daughter's home at the age of 63 years. She was born on February 17, 1942 in Natick, MA to the late Ralph Edward and Eileen Victoria (Prosser) Higgins.

Barbara was a graduate of Natick High School in Natick, MA. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Natick, MA.

Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her daughter Ruth Cottingham and her life partner, Ryan Robison of Lockwood, MO; her sister, Sally Higgins of Florida; eight grandchildren, Brookee Roper, Timothy Cottingham, Melissa Cottingham, Katie Cottingham, Gregg Cottingham, Paige Robison, Shannon Robison, and Sapaula Robison; one great-grandchild on the way; one nephew, Michael Graham; two nieces, Michelle Graham and rv1ary Francis Gimblett; and many loving friends and family members on both coasts.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 in Lockwood Funeral Chapel with Father Bob Landeve officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Springfield. Services were under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
