Ann Jayne Sigalove McCabe Memorial Service

Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 5:15 pm

Temple Sinai, 2475 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33445

Guests are invited to meet with Ann Jayne’s family immediately following the service.

Sandy Ghetti McKeon sent a lovely summary of the Florida memorial service:

Just a few words on the service for Ann Jayne yesterday.  Norm and Ronnie Bloomstein and Dave and I attended.

The Temple was filled with AJ and Tom's friends in Florida and other Temple members.  For those of us that were at the service in Natick - this was just as fine a  memorial to her - maybe a tad better, since along with her sisters and Tom, these folks knew AJ on an everyday basis since they moved to Florida.

The choir, of which both Tom and AJ were a part, was wonderful and toward the end of the service sang songs/hymns that were special to AJ including a non-religious song from Tom "I'll be Loving You Always".

Joanie delivered the eulogy and it was great - she said that folks here (in FL) knew my sister as AJ, we knew here as Ann Jayne; you knew her as a blond and we knew her as a brunette; etc and we all knew her as someone impeccably dressed - always with her red nails...  Tom also read the eulogy that his son Mark delivered in Natick.  She was much loved by her family and friends in Delray Beach and she was always Ann Jayne!  That was clearly evident.

After the services, we had coffee and sweets with the family and folks who had attended and I delivered to Tom, Ellen, Joanie and Anita our sincere sympathy from all of you.  Joanie did remark that as they were going through some of Ann Jayne's belongings, they could not believe all of the cards and wishes she had received from her friends and classmates from Natick.  It was truly a celebration of her life.

And a few words in response from Ann Jayne’s sister, Joanie Sigalove Linsky:

Dear Sandy

Thank you so much for the beautiful tribute to my sister.  I bet there are not too many alumni that could still remember the words to our alma mater! Believe me when I tell you, she did !! No one supported the Home of Champions like her.  She loved NHS (as we all do) and was proud to be a part of the class of 1961.  I am a member of the class of 70, but the path was paved by your class in my eyes.....from the Bermuda Shorts march to the parties on the hill including Joe Kiley and Butch Hriniak.

I miss my sister and will never get over her loss...she remains...

"steadfast loyal, brave and true...our deeds shall bring thee fame"
