Linda Lonberger

July 17, 1942 – June 4, 2022

Scottsdale – Linda Whitehead passed away on June 4, 2022 at the age of 79. Born in Houston, Texas, the younger of two daughters of John and Myra Lonberger, Linda grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Tulsa.

Following college graduation Linda enjoyed a life that took her to many cities from coast to coast across the country. With that experience as her guide, Linda decided she like the desert southwest best and upon her retirement in 1997 moved to Scottsdale and never left. She cherished everything about the Sonoran Desert except for the Javelina that kept eating her yucca.

Linda is survived by her son, Michael, and sister, Judy Hoffman, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma, niece Patti Ellis of Colcord, Oklahoma, nephew John Walker of Park Hill, Oklahoma and a number of much loved grand nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the family plot at the historic Boalsburg Cemetery in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.
