NATICK -
Bruce Connell, 28, of 23 Bellevue Road, Natick, died Thursday at the University
Hospital, Boston, after a lingering illness. Mr. Connell was born in Natick and
is the son of the late Wilfrid T. Connell and Mrs. Marion (Gowetz) Connell.
He was a
graduate of Natick High school in 1960 and Worcester Tech in 1964. Mr. Connell
was a veteran of the Vietnam war and was on active duty from Nov. 1965 until
Dec., 1967. He was employed as a design engineer at ,the Raytheon Corporation
in Bedford. He is survived by, besides his mother, his wife Cheryl (Cookson)
and two brothers, David of Guilford, Conn., and Richard of Aurora, Ohio.
He was a
member of the Natick chapter of DeMolay and a member of the Meridian Lodge AF
and AM and Parker Royal Arch chapter, both of Natick. Funeral services will be
held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Pilgrim Church in Sherborn with the Rev.
John Morgan officiating. Organist will be C. Robert Montgomery.
Interment
will follow in the Dell Park cemetery, Natick.
Visiting
hours are at the Mitchell Funeral Home tonight 7-9 p.m. and at 8 p.m. there
will be a ritual presented by the officers and members of Meridian Lodge.
