Theresa
Leccacorvi
December 11, 1941 – September 26, 2017
Theresa J. (Leccacorvi) O’Brien, late of
Worcester and former longtime resident of Natick passed away peacefully at the
Royal Spring Valley Center in Worcester on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the
age of 75. She was predeceased by her husband John O’Brien in 1995.
Born in Somerville,
the daughter of the late Domenic and Luisa (Vincenzi) Leccacorvi, she was
raised and educated in Natick. Theresa will be most remembered by her family
and friends for her kind and friendly personality. In her spare time, she
especially enjoyed reading books written about the Civil War Era, books such as
Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier which depicted the challenges and views faced
in those times. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and will be
remembered for helping stray cats in need of shelter and food for many years.
Theresa is survived
by her daughter Sandra Lemieux of Walpole, grandchildren Christopher, Gina,
Elise, Daniel, and Anthony, great grand-daughter Chloe, sister Marianna Walsh
of Framingham, brother Nino Leccacorvi and his wife Linda of Rochester, NH,
niece Lisa and nephew Matthew. In addition to her husband and parents, Theresa
was predeceased by her brother-in-law Jack Walsh.
Theresa’s family
would like to thank all of the staff at Royal Spring Valley Center for all of
the kindness, great care given to her and for the many friendships over the past
20 years.
Relatives and
friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa at St.
Patrick Church, 44 E. Central Street, Natick on Tuesday, October 3 at 11:00
A.M. Visiting hours will be in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral
Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common begining at 10:00 A.M. prior to the
service. Interment will follow the Mass in Glenwood Cemetery.
