Ronald Estes
Harlow, 68, of Buckland, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Baystate Medical
Center in Springfield.
He was born in
Natick, Dec. 24, 1941, the son of Bernard and Dorothy (Estes) Harlow. He was a
graduate of Natick High School and Boston College, where he received his
bachelor's degree in 1992.
Harlow served in
the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the Army on July 30, 1959, and was honorably
discharged on July 29, 1965.
Prior to
retirement he was a fireman for the Natick Fire Department. He retired in 1980.
He and his wife,
the former Judyann Roberts, lived in Buckland for 10 years. Survivors, besides
his wife, include two daughters, Lisa Marie Harlow and her husband, Felix
Vargas, of Framingham, and Ann Marie Harlow and her husband, TJ Watkinson, of
Natick; one brother, Brian Harlow of Massachusetts; one sister, Karen Manning
of Natick; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of
life service will be held Sunday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m., at 46 Crittenden Hill
Road, Buckland. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, at
a later date. It is suggested donations be made to the Mass. Audubon Society,
208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773. Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in
Shelburne Falls/ Greenfield is in charge of arrangements.
