Natick Bulletin Obituary August 2004

Robert C. Tetreault, 64, of Framingham, formerly of Natick, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick.

He was the husband of Linda (Colbeth) Tetreault, who died in 1993.

Born in Natick, the son of the late Leonard Tetreault Sr. and Beryl (Weatherby) Tetreault, he went to live at an early age and was raised by the late Oscar and Margaret Belmore.

Before his retirement, he was employed by the town of Natick in maintenance at both Natick Court and Kennedy Senior Center.

Mr. Tetreault served with the U.S. Army during peacetime. He was a member of the Natick Lodge of Elks and the Hopkinton and Ashland Gun Clubs.

He leaves seven children, Robert Kadra of California, Jeff, David and Andrew Tetreault and Steven Bocharge, all of Framingham. Michele Powell of Marlborough and Nicole Tetreault of Natick; three sister, Lucille and Priscilla Belmore and Theresa Allen, all of Natick; and 17 grandchildren.

I first heard Bob Tetreault’s name in Miss Featherstone’s 7th grade music class. As she was doing the roll call, she inadvertently confused my last name with his. She quickly straightened it out.

From that point on, I found out that he was likeable, and we got along fine.

I do remember him, however, in Mr. Shea’s high school history class, talking to a classmate while some girl was trying to give an oral report. Mr. Shea gave him a choice to either apologize to the girl or see him after school. His response was “I’ll see you after school. “ One would think that it would be easier to apologize than to stay after school.

I found him to be generous and helpful to me at times, and I will always remember the trick he taught me to break a pencil in half with a folded dollar bill.

He was quite a character.
