MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - W. Phillip ''Phil'' Rierdan, 64, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Natick, Hopkinton and St. Louis, Mo., died Monday, June 19, 2006, in Minneapolis after a long illness.

Born in Medford and raised in South Natick, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Dorothy (Keaveney) Rierdan. He graduated from Natick High School in 1959 and received an associate's degree from Burdett College in 1961.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964.

He attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, graduating with a B.S. in business administration in 1967.

Mr. Rierdan had a distinguished business career as a real estate entrepreneur in New England and as a seminar speaker across the country. He was an early leader in recognizing the potential of condominium development and became president of The Condominium Seeker in Framingham and later The Condominium Network, just as condominium sales took off in the early 1980s. In 1984, as president of PR Productions, he broadcast the first weekly cable television program in Massachusetts, ''Cable Real Estate Review,'' devoted solely to showcasing real estate properties.

In 1991, Mr. Rierdan began Executive Briefing Sessions, a series of sales training seminars that he presented across the country to private corporations and public audiences. At the time of his death, he was innovating a real estate sales Web site as part of his business in St. Louis and Minneapolis and was working on a book, based on the Executive Briefing Sessions & Seminars he had delivered.

Active politically, he was Massachusetts press secretary for the 1992 Ross Perot presidential campaign.

He leaves his sister, Dr. Jill Rierdan of Ashfield; his former wife, Ginger Rierdan of Grafton; his partner, Diane M. Duff of Minneapolis; and numerous cousins and friends across the country.

He was the nephew of the late Catherine (Skahill) Herrick.

A graveside service will take place at noon, Saturday, June 24, at Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick.

Visiting hours are today, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common.

W. Phillip "Phil" Rierdan of Minneapolis, formerly of Natick and Hopkinton, a Vietnam Era veteran and real estate entrepreneur, died Monday in Minneapolis after a long illness. He was 64.

Mr. Rierdan graduated from Natick High School in 1959 and received an associate's degree from the former Burdett College in 1967. He attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., graduating with a degree in business administration in 1967.

Mr. Rierdan is survived by his sister, Jill of Ashfield; his former wife, Ginger Rierdan of Grafton; his beloved partner, Diane M. Duff of Minneapolis; and many cousins and friends across the country.
