Lynn and I grew up in the same neighborhood and go back to the "pre fives".  We spent a lot of time playing in the sand box building roads and castles. We constructed buggies out of orange crates and reclaimed wheels from the dump and yes played with dolls in her doll house. We went to kinder garden together at Bacon Street School. We chattered so much that Miss Arnold the kinder garden teacher separated us each at opposite ends of the table but soon put us next to each other since our shouting back and forth was even more disruptive. No two little kids could have been any closer. Some time around third grade when girls and boys seem to become more defined as girls and boys we took up interests that didn't involve each other. We saw each other over the years up until she moved away from our area with her husband and family. I will always remember Lynn as my first best friend.
