John David Boyington, 67, of Plymouth, died Aug. 18, 2006 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.

 

Mr. Boyington was born in Somerville, son of the late John P. and Victorya Boyington. He was educated in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School. He was also a graduate of the Vesper George School of Art in Boston.

 

He moved to Plymouth more than 34 years ago, previously residing in Ipswich and Marblehead.

 

He was a self-employed commercial artist by trade and enjoyed working in watercolor. He especially had a love of the fine arts.

 

Mr. Boyington leaves his wife, Maureen Frances (Kowlzan) Boyington of Plymouth; his children John and Paul Boyington, both of Plymouth, and Mary Carmichael and her husband, John of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Roger Boyington of Peson, Ariz., Philip Boyington of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a sister, Pamela Dwinnells of Columbia, S.C.; two grandchildren Liam and Kelsea.

 

Services were private. Cremation took place at The Mayflower Crematory in Duxbury. Arrangements were handled by Cartmell Funeral Home in Plymouth.
