James S. McClosky, 60, a lifelong Natick Resident, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at his home.

 

He was the husband of E. Diane (Flint) McClosky.

 

He was the son of the late Peter McClosky and Doris C. (Hurley) McClosky Pinkham.

 

A retired shipper/receiver with the Phillip Fishman Corporation, he was a graduate of Natick High School. He was a well-known country western drummer, known professionally as “Jimmy West.”

 

Besides his wife, he leaves his sons, Jason, Dennis and James McClosky Jr., all of Bellingham; a grandson, Chris McClosky; his sister, Joan M. Leone of Natick; and his brother, Kenneth V. Pinkham of Upton.

 

He was also the twin brother of Patricia A. (McClosky) Beebe, who died this past August, and the late Peter McClosky.

 

Funeral services will take place Thursday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m., at the Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Natick, followed by burial in Dell Park Cemetery. The Rev Michael Clark will officiate.

 

Visiting hours are Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 105 North Main St. (Rte. 27), Natick.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Coronary Care Unit of the Massachusetts General Hospital, Ellison 9, Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114.

We all will remember the McClosky twins as our class twins. Pat with her impeccable neat appearance and infectious smile and Jim with his...infectious smile! Jim livened things up at rallies and sports events with his bursts on the drum. Always a good friend.
