I remember David Lehan to be always friendly, witty, and seemed to look at life on the comical side. He would reveal his wit while doing his morning weather reports over the loud speaker.

He was, however, serious about his scientific side. I remember him during one English class where the students were assigned to give a talk about their favorite hobby in front of the class. It was his turn, and his hobby was Ham Radio operation.

The poor guy, unknowingly, set himself up in front of everybody at the front of the class as he started out by announcing the title of his hobby, “How to become a Ham.” Well as you can guess, the room erupted with laughter. It was like a perfect one-liner.

After everyone settled down, he was able to complete his talk on Ham Radio operations.

David came across as a knowledgeable person in many areas.
