David B. Brown

October 27, 1941 – September 15, 2019

David Benjamin Brown LAWRENCEVILLE David Benjamin Brown, 77, of Lawrenceville, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sept. 15, 2019 of complications from glioblastoma.

David was a gentle, kind and generous man. He loved history and rooted for the underdog. He was educated at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Boston College, and the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his doctorate in psychology in 1973.

He began his career as a school psychologist, then established a private practice which he maintained for nearly 50 years.

In retirement he volunteered with the Princeton Coalition for Peace Action, advocating for sensible gun laws and taught popular courses in presidential psychology at the Princeton Senior Center. He laughed often, delighted in a good pun and relished the April's Fools Day jokes his family would play on each other. He could often be found at the Princeton YMCA, where he exercised nearly every day.

He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife of 50 years, Carol; his daughters, Catherine and Sarah, sons-in-law, Robert and Albert, and grandchildren, Silas, Gabriel, Cameron and Taylor. His family was a source of tremendous joy for him as he was to them. He was loved by many, and he will be missed greatly.
