FRAMINGHAM Anthony E.
DeFelice, 87, of Framingham, died peacefully at home among his family on Jan.
14, 2009. Born in Boston, Tony
originally wanted to be a missionary and graduated from Miramar seminary
before serving in the Army in New Guinea during World War II. After attending
Boston University on the G.I. Bill, he taught history at Natick High School
until his retirement in 1982. He is survived by Anna
(Giacomozzi), his wife of 61 years; his children, Maria, Anita, Chris, Elena,
Paula and Robert DeFelice, all of Framingham; Hamid Monsef of Northborough;
their spouses, Joseph Benson, Richard Dalton and David Kent; and seven
grandchildren. Per his request, a
celebration of Tony's life will be private. Donations in his memory may be
made to the John Andrew Mazie Memorial Foundation, a mentoring program for
at-risk youth, 1502 Wisteria Way, Wayland, MA 01778. |
