Virginia A. (Brown) Libby, age 70, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Parmenters Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence in Wayland. She was the wife of 35 years to the late William A. Libby who died in 2003.

 

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Hazel (OLeary) Brown. She formerly worked as a clerk at the Dennison Mfg. Co. in Framingham for 11 years. Virginia lead a simple life and loved nature and appreciated all its beauty. She also adored cats and had a tender affection for them.

 

She is survived by her loving siblings, Thelma Kerivan of Hopkinton, Phyllis McClurg of Plainville, CT, Betty Garvin and her husband Edward of The Villages, FL, Ruth Doherty and her husband Dennis of Andover, Marilyn Fabri and her husband Umberto of Framingham, Gerald Brown and his wife Frances of Natick and Charles Brown and his wife Agnes of Colorado. She is also survived by her step children, Alfred Libby, Cynthia Beebe, Patricia Libby and many nieces and nephews and her cherished best friend, Jean Gibson of Framingham. Virginia was the sister of the late Edward Brown, Robert Brown, Joanne Corey, Raymond Brown and Barbara Gassett.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham. At Virginia’s request, there will be no funeral home visiting hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham.
